Tanja Woloshen has enjoyed a wide variety of dance study and performance: from ballet to fire, from aerial to trance and from Butoh to hula. In Vancouver she did the Maindance Program, studying with Kenny Pearle, Tom Stroud, Helen Walkley, Risa Steinberg, Chick Snipper, and later worked with Holly Bright and Helen Walkley. Tanja spent many years training and performing with Iona Contemporary Dance Theatre in Honolulu Hawaii. Working there with Giingko Maraschino strongly solidified her relationship with the Japanese danceform of Butoh. She teaches dance classes for 3 year old munchkins, children and adults for X Company and at The Wellness Institute of Seven Oaks Hospital. Currently, Tanja is pursuing her Theatre Degree at the University of Winnipeg with Honours in Directing. |
