LINK 2009

July 3rd & 4th • 8pm

The Gas Station Theatre

LINK 2009 featured new work by: Vanessa Rigeaux, Hilary Bergen, Rachelle Potoski-Laverge, Alexandra Elliott Renée Vandale.

The show being more intimate allowed for a more focused creative process, and more one on one time spent with mentor Tom Stroud. Although the production involved less creators and less performers than the LINK series usually does, we had record breaking ticket sales. Thank you to all of you who came and joined us at the Gas Station Theatre, LINK is an annual production committed to offering an opportunity for young independent dance creators to experiment, and share - couldn't have done it without you!

ya, ya!

Choreographer/Creator: Vanessa Rigaux
Performers: Alexandra Elliott, Andree Lavergne, Rachelle Potoski-Lavergne, Coral Maloney,Vanessa Rigaux, & Tanja Woloshen.
Music Notes: Sections composed and performed by Cliff Eyland and Tannis Kohut

The group explored the 4 corners of Osborne/River and worked towards a goal of integrating the public audience and space with the Young Lungs audience and performance space. The gathering of energies before the Young Lungs show and the transformation of the Circle space beside the theatre is a way to celebrate community. Coming home to Winnipeg, and especially to work with Young Lungs, is a great community to celebrate.
