Natasha graduated from the Senior Professional Program of the School of Contemporary Dancers in 2002. She then commenced a 6 year position as a company dancer for Winnipeg's Contemporary Dancers. With WCD Torres-Garner worked with several Canadian choreographers and their various creative approaches. Simultaneously Torres-Garner was working independently with Trip Dance Company, Fortier Danse Creation, Fondation Jean-Pierre Perreault, and Coleman Lemieux & Compagnie. Having worked with such a range of artists, her appreciation for creation, spawned a need to develop her skills as a creator herself. Throughout Torres-Garner's choreographic experience, she has received mentorship from Senior Artists Rachel Browne, Davida Monk, Karen Kuzak and Serge Bennathan.

Her choreographic experience has entailed working as a choreographer with the Winnipeg Philharmonic Choir, choreographing for the Junior Professional Program of the School of Contemporary Dancers, as well as featuring solos and duets in numerous Young Lungs Dance Exchange productions. As well, Torres-Garner spent the fall of 2008 choreographing collaboratively with shot AG of Dresden, Germany. She is presently working collaboratively with Ian Mozdzen of Out of Line Theatre and Tom Stroud; former Artistic director of Winnipeg's Contemporary Dancers forming a collaborative team called The Rite Productions. Torres-Garner’s creative processes are greatly influenced by her appreciation for improvisation. As a performer, Improvisation demanded her to desert all pre-conceived ideas of herself. While improvising she found compassion and a connection to alternative personal perspectives, and in turn found a heightened performance satisfaction.

Torres-Garner believes that performance is a template for understanding human nature, and the relationships with in. Her improvisational abilities along with her sinuous and rich movement style offer a venue for her to explore humanity, and the stories to tell.
