Flo was born and raised in Austria, where he received classical training on his violin from the age of six on. Already at this young age he was fascinated by improvisation of nearly any style of music. His improvisations are nowadays strongly based on eastern european folk music mixed with oriental elements. Flo holds a Master's degree in Theatre-, Film- and Media-science (University of Vienna). For three years he played street-theatre and toured across Europe. Coming to Winnipeg in 2004, he became a Massage Therapist and is now specializing in the treatment of dance-injuries. He still enjoys to play the violin, the singing saw and sometimes the fool.
